Ashley Cole says Arsenal have a player who’s even better than Mohamed Salah

Ashley Cole has been discussing some of the best players in world football.

Speaking to Match Attax on TikTok, the England legend has been asked to compare some of the best of the best after an incredible season.

Cole was asked to pick between the likes of Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe as well as being asked to choose between Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.

Interestingly, Cole was asked to choose between two of the best players in the Premier League at the moment – Bukayo Saka and Mohamed Salah, and the former left-back gave an interesting answer to this question.

Cole shared his verdict on these two Premier League stars.

“Saka or Salah?” Cole was asked.

“Saka or Salah? Now or in their prime? Alright, I’m going to go with Saka,” Cole said.

Salah is still better than Saka

As brilliant as Saka has been for Arsenal for a long time now, it’s hard to say that he’s eclipsed Salah just yet.

Indeed, Salah has still outscored Saka every single season in the Premier League – including last season in which Salah missed a big stretch of games due to injury and international commitments.

Saka is a fantastic player in his own right, and he’s arguably the most important player in this Arsenal team.

However, Salah is on a different level, and considering what he has achieved at Liverpool, there’s a genuine case to be made that he’s the best winger to have ever played in the Premier League.

Of course, at the age of just 22, Saka has plenty of time on his side to get to Salah’s level and ultimately surpass his Premier League legacy.

As things stand, Salah is the superior player, although that gap does appear to be closing with each passing season.

Saka and Salah are two of the best players in the world, that’s for sure.
