Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly placed defender Juan Foyth on their transfer list – and Everton surely have to monitor the situation.

Spurs are seeking to raise funds and free up slots to sign foreign players after reaching their quota for Europe.

The Sun have claimed that Tanguy Ndombele, Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth are all up for sale.

Foyth’s inclusion on that list comes after the north Londoners signed Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Although not a right-back by trade, he has been used multiple times in that position and it is thought the club are trying to add another centre-half.

Certainly it looks as though Foyth is surplus to requirements in north London, and Everton could do worse than to make an approach for the 22-year-old.

TBR’s View – Foyth would be perfect for Everton

Given Everton sometimes play with three at the back, he could be a really good fit as say, a right-sided centre-back.

At the moment the Toffees are in desperate need of reinforcements at the back, with only Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate as senior options for Carlo Ancelotti to choose from.

Most of the time Foyth – who earns a relatively modest £21,500-a-week (Spotrac) – has looked pretty dependable for Spurs when he’s played, and Everton should test the club’s resolve if they are prepared to sell.
