Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has “no intention” of accepting the Reds’ current new contract offer.

The 29-year-old is due to enter the final 12 months of his Anfield deal in the summer.

Salah and his representatives have been in discussions with Liverpool over a potential extension.

However, the uncertainty over the Egypt international’s future continues to hang over the club.

Now, Romano has claimed that talks between Salah and Liverpool have broken down since December.

While the forward is apparently keen on staying at Anfield, he won’t do so at “current conditions”.

Here is what Romano tweeted on Friday evening:

Salah has been sensational for most of his time at Anfield, but he’s reached truly stratospheric levels this season.

The Reds ace has registered a staggering 27 goals and 10 assists from 34 Reds games in all competitions this term.

Salah has already helped Liverpool win the Carabao Cup this term, and the Reds are still fighting on three more fronts.

The former Roma ace has also helped the Anfield outfit win the Champions League, UEFA Supercup, Club World Cup and Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool “cannot do much more” to prove to Salah that he should remain at Anfield.

“Mo expects this club to be ambitious,” The Mirror quotes him as saying on Friday.

“We cannot do much more. It is Mo’s decision. It is all fine from my point of view.

“Nothing happened further, no signing or rejection. We just have to wait, there’s no rush.”
