Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest update on the Yves Bissouma to Tottenham Hotspur speculation.

On Tuesday, multiple reports claimed Spurs had agreed a deal with Brighton for the 25-year-old midfielder.

The Times claimed Bissouma would become Tottenham’s third signing of the summer after Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

Likewise, BBC Sport went as far as to say the player ‘becomes Spurs boss Antonio Conte’s third summer signing’.

“Personal terms not an issue”

Now, Romano has claimed that personal terms are ‘not an issue’ for Bissouma and his agent ‘as of now’.

The transfer insider, speaking on his YouTube channel, said Tottenham ‘have a deal in place’ for the Seagulls star.

However, Romano suggested that an agreement hasn’t been reached – instead, he said they were ‘almost’ there.

Both clubs are apparently discussing the final details of the payment terms.

Spurs will reportedly pay around €26million, or around £22.5million, for Bissouma.

“Tottenham are closing in on their third signing of the market,” said Romano.

“They have a deal in place with Brighton for Yves Bissouma. Agreement almost reached for €26m.

“They’re discussing the final details on the payment terms, and then everything will be signed.

“Personal terms not an issue as of now with Bissouma and his agent.

“So Tottenham are ready to give Antonio Conte their third signing of the summer… (they’re) set to complete this deal.”

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham have been watching Bissouma since he played for Lille.

He was reportedly on their list of targets to replace Moussa Dembele in 2018.

The report adds that Antonio Conte loved what he saw from Bissouma during his performances against Spurs last season.

Arsenal, Aston Villa and Everton had apparently also been eyeing the player with a view to a summer swoop.

However, it looks as though Tottenham have won the race for one of the most highly sought-after players of the summer.
