West Ham United midfielder Edimilson Fernandes is being eyed by Lyon as a potential replacement for Tanguy Ndombele, as reported by Le10 Sport.
The Switzerland international has spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Fiorentina, where he has made 27 appearances so far for the Serie A outfit.

He was allowed to leave by Manuel Pellegrini, who had other midfield options in the form of Jack Wilshere, Carlos Sanchez (who have both spent most of the season injured), Declan Rice and Mark Noble.
Having had a tricky start, he then started to improve. Le10 Sport have claimed that Fiorentina could attempt to sign him permanently.
They also claim Lyon are interested, but West Ham shouldn’t be tempted to sell.
TBR’s view
Fernandes has arguably shown enough at Fiorentina to warrant a role in Pellegrini’s squad next season.
West Ham have been short all season in midfield due to the injuries to Wilshere, Sanchez and Manuel Lanzini.

With Mark Noble not getting any younger, the Hammers may need to start thinking about reducing their captain’s game time.
Fernandes would bring energy and dynamism to the engine room, something that has been lacking at times this term.
He has gotten regular game time in a top five European league, and would be returning a more mature player.
