Manchester United’s Ruben Amorim and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta are heavy favourites for the Premier League Manager of the Month award in the eyes of fans.

Arsenal have dominated the Premier League this month, sitting top of the table ahead of their meeting with Burnley.

The Gunners won all three of their league matches in the month of October without conceding a single goal.

Manchester United also went unbeaten, securing wins over Liverpool, Sunderland and Brighton. But who out of Ruben Amorim and Mikel Arteta deserves to be crowned Premier League Manager of the Month?

Best manager out of Ruben Amorim and Mikel Arteta

The Premier League revealed this week that Arteta, Amorim, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola had been nominated for the award.

However, fans have largely decided that it is a straight shootout between the Arsenal and Man Utd coaches, with the Spaniard seeming to have the majority of the support.

One fan wrote: “Arteta, they didn’t even concede a goal this month.”

A second echoed: “If they give it to Amorim for going 3 games unbeaten for the first time in his Man United career, then the game is gone. Arsenal won every game and conceded 0 goals in the whole month.”

“There should be no nominations here. A coach won all the matches and conceded no goals. Not even one. It has never happened before in the history of football,” claimed another.

A Chelsea supporter added: “Arteta for sure. This is coming from a Chelsea fan though.”

“Only one did not concede a single goal and sits at the top of the table,” tweeted a fifth.

There was some support for the Man Utd coach: “I think Amorim should,” “Vote Amorim,” and “Amorim!!!!!” being among the replies. But it was largely in favour of the Arsenal boss.

Arsenal and Manchester United players compete for Premier League Player of the Month

Alongside Amorim and Arteta, Manchester United and Arsenal have two players competing for an award.

Jurrien Timber and Bryan Mbeumo were both nominated for Premier League Player of the Month.

Mbeumo scored three and assisted one in three matches this month, while Timber provided one assist and was key to Arsenal keeping three clean sheets.
