Arsenal’s William Saliba reveals the club he grew up dreaming of playing for since the age of six

Arsenal defender William Saliba has revealed the club that he grew up supporting from a young age and dreamt of playing for when he was younger.

Saliba is close to agreeing a new contract with Arsenal following his extraordinary performance at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid fans hailed Saliba’s performance in the second-leg as the defender helped the Gunners to concede just once across two legs against one of Europe’s best attacks.

The defender has now been discussing the club which he has supported since the age of six and his answer will be music to the ears of Arsenal’s supporters.

William Saliba on supporting Arsenal since the age of six

William Saliba has revealed that he is living his childhood dream by playing for Arsenal having supported the North London club since at least the age of six.

There has been some speculation around his future with Real Madrid keen on Saliba, however, given the club’s progression this season, he looks set to stay for at least another year.

Saliba revealed: “Before I was for Arsenal,” he was then asked, “You have always been for Arsenal?” He then claimed, “I have a photo where I was six years old, I have my Arsenal jersey on.”

“That means you’re living you’re childhood dream?” Saliba replied, “Yeah, my childhood dream, yeah, I love it!”

TBR Football has already revealed that Arsenal are confident that it is only a matter of time before William Saliba signs a new deal.

Saka is set to get £300k-a-week and the 24-year-old is set to join him as the North London club’s highest earner, overtaking Kai Havertz.
