Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has been included in the latest BBC team of the week picked by Garth Crooks.
Odegaard was once again integral to Arsenal as they hammered Forest. His performances all season have been superb and he made things look easy against the bewildered Reds.
Of course, Mikel Arteta gave Odegaard the captain’s armband in the summer. And that has proved a masterstroke move by the Gunners boss.

Crooks, then, has picked Odegaard in his latest team of the week and suggested that things were so easy for him against Forest, he was able to just stroll around.
“Martin Odegaard strolled around Emirates Stadium conducting most of Arsenal’s attacks and looking very composed and cultured while doing it. This victory takes Arsenal back to the top of the league with two games to play before the World Cup break. With a bit of luck, that should break their momentum,” Crooks said.
Odegaard has long been considered a top talent in Europe. He moved to real Madrid as a 15-year-old before impressing on loan with Real Sociedad and then, Arsenal.
The Norwegian has four Premier League goals in 11 this season, with another two assists on top.
TBR’s View: Odegaard gets in most Premier League teams
You won’t find many in the Premier League who’d reject having Martin Odegaard in their first XI. He makes every squad at the very least, and in reality, most first-teams.
For Arsenal, they’ve pulled off an absolute masterstroke in signing the Norwegian star. He brings a bit of everything to that number ten position and is perfect for Mikel Arteta’s needs.
Four in 11 is not to be sniffed at either in terms of output. And with no Norway in this winter’s World Cup, Odegaard should be well rested to go again in December.
