Amid their goalscoring woes, Arsenal fans would love Harry Kane or Erling Haaland up front – one of their youngsters has now claimed he’s a ‘worse hybrid’ of the two.
The Gunners have a fantastic academy. They are developing their youngsters brilliantly, and one player who could become a star in a few years is 20-year-old Mika Biereth, who was recalled from his loan spell at Motherwell this week.

Arsenal’s Mika Biereth says he’s a worse hybrid of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland
Arsenal signed Mika Biereth for their academy from Fulham back in the summer of 2021.
The Denmark U21 international was still a teenager back then, and he was viewed as someone who could be developed into a future star.
Biereth scored 12 goals and provided five assists in his debut campaign with Arsenal’s academy side and earned himself a move on loan to RKC Waalwijk in the following year. Sadly, injuries gave him a very hard time in the Netherlands.
He returned last summer and was loaned out to Motherwell. He became a fan favourite there, scoring six goals and providing five assists in just 11 starts.
There’s a lot of excitement around the young Dane, and he has now compared himself, in a way, to Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.
Biereth told The Athletic: “I’d say I’m a worse hybrid of (Harry) Kane and (Erling) Haaland.
“I like to run in behind like Haaland and try to do what Kane does in the way he combines with his team-mates.”

Arsenal were right to recall him
It was a big surprise to see Arsenal recall Mika Biereth from his loan six months early, but the Gunners are right to make this decision.
The young Dane was doing incredibly well at Motherwell in Scotland, but for his development, he needs to be in a league that’s a lot more challenging.
Biereth has today joined Austrian top-flight side Sturm Graz on loan for the remainder of the season. They are fighting for the league title with RB Salzburg, and that’s going to be a great experience for the Arsenal youngster.
This is the best move for both Biereth and Arsenal. If things go to plan, he could fulfil his dream of playing for Mikel Arteta’s side soon.
