‘Arsenal written all over you’: Some Gunners fans respond to £9m goal machine’s tweet

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to respond to Odsonne Edouard’s post in which he’s sporting the new Celtic kit, urging the prolific striker to join them at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have been linked with the Celtic talisman for a number of months, a March report in The Mirror claiming he was in Mikel Arteta’s sights for the summer.

Speculation has continued to build, with The Express claiming in May that Arsenal were leading Newcastle United in the race to snap Edouard up.

The £9million man has claimed an impressive 60 goals and 31 assists in 126 Hoops appearances, including 27 goals and 19 assists last term, helping his side to a ninth consecutive title.

On Friday, Celtic unveiled their long-awaited Adidas-made home kit ahead of the 2020-21 season, in which the Hoops will be hoping to win a tenth title in a row.

Edouard shared two images on his social media – one of himself, one with teammates – and the caption “some things are worth waiting for”.

And while Celtic fans were obviously delighted to see their talismanic 22-year-old in the new kit, plenty of Arsenal supporters were also eager to make their pitch regarding a trajectory similar to that of Kieran Tierney.
