Arsenal are being linked with a move for Franck Kessie.

According to Calciomercato, the Gunners are looking at a possible swoop for the AC Milan dynamo, who is having a fine season over in the Italian top-flight.

The European heavyweights are a different animal this term, having been somewhat in the wilderness in recent times.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has grabbed a lot of the headlines with his goalscoring expolits, but Kessie has been a real driving force for Stefano Pioli’s side.

The 23-year-old has scored four goals and made two assists so far, and is looking a formidable player in the engine room.

Certainly, he’s someone that could have a big impact for Arsenal, who have of course just signed Thomas Partey.

TBR’s View – Kessie and Partey would be fearsome duo

It remains to be seen if Arsenal have the funds to go after Kessie, who is supposedly valued around £45 million by the Italian giants.

It is probably unlikely since a creative midfielder is probably a bigger priority.

But perhaps the club may go in for him in the summer.

Should the Gunners land Kessie, they would be able to boast a pretty formidable midfield.

Partey has already shown himself to be a brilliant player, capable of doing defensive work and driving the team forwards.

If Arsenal brought Kessie in alongside him, opponents would have a very hard time both getting past them and trying to contain their bursts forward.
