'Arsenal would be a dream destination for me': 15-cap striker likened to Harry Kane hints at future move

Arsenal boast a fierce front line at present, featuring the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Marquinhos.

And soon, there could be another superb addition to that attacking setup – Folarin Balogun, who is shining at Ligue 1 Reims.

However, Edu and Mikel Arteta cannot rest on their laurels – they must always be on the lookout for potential targets.

And a striker from the Bundesliga has effectively issued a come-get-me plea to the Gunners.

Wolfsburg forward Jonas Wind has revealed that Arsenal would be his dream destination if he was to leave the Bundesliga club.

The 23-year-old only signed for Wolfsburg in January of this year. But he has adapted to life in Germany with ease.

Wind registered five goals and one assist in 14 games for his new club last season.

Now, speaking to Bulinews, the 15-cap, five-goal Denmark international has outlined his desire to join Arsenal one day.

“If we look into the future, Arsenal would be a dream destination for me,” he said.

“As it has always been my favourite club.

“In general, I think the Premier League is the best league in the world. And it would be exciting to play there.”

“Strong in the air and physical”

The Bundesliga website has compared Wind to Sebastien Haller.

“Despite his goalscoring pedigree, Wind doesn’t quite fit the No. 9 mould,” they wrote.

“Strong in the air and physical, the Dane has a habit of dropping deep from a starting striker role to get involved in the build-up, much like Ajax’s Sebastien Haller in his Eintracht Frankfurt days.”

And on Twitter, Wind has been compared to Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane.

Wolfsburg signed him from FC Copenhagen for £10.8million, and his Transfermarkt value stands at £12.6million.

However, if he continues to impress, chances are his price tag will skyrocket.
