Arsenal want to keep £30m player, but he might force an exit now

There are a few players who probably need to leave Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners have quite a bloated squad, and with competition for places so high, there are a few talented players who simply aren’t getting the gametime they deserve right now.

The likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah may well need to leave, while there’s also a strong case to make that Aaron Ramsdale has to go.

Indeed, the England international has barely got a game this season, and with Ramsdale having aspirations of being his country’s number one, he may need to play elsewhere.

Speaking on The Debrief, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal, and he says that the club actually don’t want Ramsdale to go, but he may begin to push for a move if he can’t guarantee minutes at the Emirates.

Aaron Ramsdale may push to leave Arsenal

Jacobs shared what he knows about the £30m man.

“Outgoings will be important. They have various assets who they can get off the wage bill or get a fee for. Eddie Nketiah is one that can open the door to bring in a striker, and Aaron Ramsdale may want gametime. Arsenal would love to keep him, even though he has a very amenable personality, the goalkeeper may start pushing,” Jacobs said.

“If Ramsdale leaves they could find themselves in a position where they have to look at a backup goalkeeper, it’s not Mikel Arteta’s preference.”

Aaron Ramsdale needs a move away

Ramsdale may well push for a move away from Arseanl, and, in all honesty, we wouldn’t blame him if he did.

He’s barely played this season, and as a player with dreams of being a regular international, you can’t waste time rotting on the bench.

Ramsdale is good enough to play regularly for a Premier League team, and he needs to get a move this summer in order to do just that.

It sounds like Ramsdale will be leaving this summer.
