It was Arsenal’s first Premier League win in seven attempts and handed Mikel Arteta a massive lift.
In Saka, the Gunners do have a player who they can be seriously excited about.
The 19-year-old has played 60 times for the first team and has already showcased his ability to play in a number of positions.
Following yesterday’s game, Saka took to Instagram and earned some praise from his teammates, including Gabriel Martnelli, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson

Arsenal supporters have been thoroughly disgruntled during recent weeks but winning this London derby will have delighted them.
One aspect that the club’s fans feel Arteta could utilise more is the academy stars.
Saka was in fine form yesterday, whilst Emile Smith Rowe put in a strong showing during his first Premier League outing of the campaign.
The Arsenal youngster, along with the likes of Martinelli and Smith Rowe should be the future.

They should be the players who Arteta is handing minutes too right now with their youthful exuberance capable of getting the Gunners out of trouble.
Saka has taken his bow on the international stage too and the future really is bright for the Hale End graduate.
With the club’s youngsters doing great things there is every possibility that Arsenal can continue picking up results.
The challenge for Arteta in January could be getting players out of the club.
With Saka and Co, performing well there could be plenty of experienced players deemed surplus in the coming weeks.
