Arsenal trio could form brilliant combination in the future

Mikel Arteta appears to have reintroduced a positivity around the Emirates Stadium since he took charge as manager and his Arsenal team were unbeaten in the previous eight Premier League games before football was suspended due to COVID-19.

The Gunners have started to really make the most of some talented young players in their squad and the future is looking bright, albeit they have an incredibly long way to get back to where they want to be competing with the best teams in England.

It looks like the North London outfit may already possess three players that could end up forming an explosive combination in the future.

Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe are three super talents already on the books at the Emirates Stadium, but perhaps they are destined to make a brilliant attacking trio later down the line.

Saka is a highly-rated product of the Arsenal academy that has made a serious breakthrough into the first-team this season and has chipped in with nine assists from just 29 senior games.

The 18-year-old has filled in as an emergency left-back to great success, but the attacking side of his game is where he really shines and the English teenager has the potential to be the long-term solution as the left-winger.

Martinelli was an unknown talent when he arrived in England last summer, but 10 goals in 26 first-team games has quickly made people stand up and take notice of him.

The 18-year-old forward is mature beyond his years with his movement and trickery, so moulding him into the club’s long-term central striker option seems a no-brainer.

Pepe, 24, could be the final part of the jigsaw as the right-winger and he’s a serious threat cutting inside on his favoured left foot.

He’s managed six goals and eight assists in 32 matches during his first season with the club, but there is definitely much more to come from him and he should already be looking to nail down a spot in the starting XI.

Arteta should’t be in a rush to get rid of valuable experienced stars like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette, but in the future they may have an exciting trio on their hands.

Liverpool have shown what can achieved with their deadly combination of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, who are the players Arsenal’s young stars should try emulate.
