Reported Arsenal target Achraf Hakimi could be leaving Inter Milan this summer should manager Antonio Conte walk from the club.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Inter manager could leave the Serie A champions within the next 48 hours. The club owners are eager to trim the payroll of the playing and coaching staff by 20%. Conte reportedly earns €30m a year as reported by France Football.

Revolution at Inter
As per the report, Conte leaving could set off a chain reaction that sees multiple senior players leave the club, including Hakimi. Gazzetta dello Sport claim Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG side are interested in the Moroccan defender.
Arsenal also have a long-standing interest in Hakimi. AS claim via the Sun that the Gunners are keen on the Inter right-back. Hector Bellerin is likely to leave north London this summer according to the Guardian. Mikel Arteta is also believed to be keen on signing a new right-back in the transfer window, as reported by football.london.

Arsenal can pull off sensational transfer if Hakimi decides to walk
With the right-back position being shared by three players this season, the Gunners need to identify a player who can claim the role for their own. And Hakimi would be the dream player for this scenario.
The former Real Madrid defender is one of the top players in the position in world football. Hakimi scored seven goals and assisted a further ten in Serie A under Conte in Inter’s title-winning campaign. The Madrid-born defender also made a further five appearances in the UEFA Champions League, registering one assist.

Although recruiting him will be difficult with no European football, Arsenal can solve a major problem in their squad by signing Hakimi. And at just 22-years-old, the right-back could hold the position down in the Gunners starting XI for years to come.
