Arsenal have sealed their first summer signing, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Nuno Tavares has reportedly agreed a contract with the Gunners until 2026 in a deal worth 8m euro (around £7million) plus add-ons.
Arsenal are hoping that the 21-year-old Benfica ace will add competition for them in the left-back position.

Tavares should compete with Kieran Tierney for a place in Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up.
And his move is expected to be confirmed imminently with the Portugal youth international jetting off from Lisbon to the United Kingdom.
His agent Rafael Santos shared a photo on Instagram alongside the defender on Friday evening before taking off.
Romano shared the image on his Twitter account as well as the details of the purported deal.
Tavares featured in 25 games in all competitions for Benfica last season, where he registered three assists.
Anderlecht skipper Albert Sambi Lokonga is also reportedly nearing a move to Arsenal.
