Arsenal and Tottenham are preparing to do battle for the services of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie this summer, according to The Express.
West Ham United are also keen on the player but it is thought the player might prefer a move to a club that is in European competition.
Kessie made 34 appearances for the Italian giants last season, scoring seven goals.
He arrived at the club from Atalanta on loan, but Milan now holds an obligation to buy him for £24 million.
Financial Fair Play implications could lead to the club instantly cashing in on Kessie, however, and that has alerted Premier League clubs.
Milan missed out on the Champions League and he could now leave the San Siro for £30 million.
Spurs or Arsenal are probably the most likely destinations for Kessie this summer.
West Ham would probably need to cash in on someone like Declan Rice in order to have the funds available to sign the Ivorian.
Arsenal won’t have a great deal of cash to spend after missing out on Champions League football themselves and Kessie would represent a huge outlay for them.
That probably leaves Spurs as the favourites to secure his signature.
The Champions League finalists haven’t signed a player since January 2018 and will seek reinforcements this summer.
Kessie could be an ideal player to replace Moussa Dembele who left the club back in January.
