Ex-Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has told The Express that he believes Arsenal’s sporadic away form will stop them from finishing in the top-four.
The Gunners made it ten home wins on the spin at the Emirates Stadium with a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle last night.
The victory lifted Unai Emery’s team above Spurs into third in the Premier League.

With seven games remaining, the Gunners play just twice more on home soil with the rest of their fixtures away.
Jenas believes that Arsenal playing the majority of their fixtures away will stop them reclaiming a Champions League place.
He told The Express: “They’ve got seven games left and five of them are away. They’ve been good at home but they’ve won just five games away all season.
“It’ll be tough for everyone but that’s why I think it will be Spurs and Manchester United in the top-four.”

Jenas also highlights the fact that other teams still have something to play for as an important factor in the chase.
He continued: “Burnley are going to be fighting all the way, Palace are still going to need wins. Watford would have past their FA Cup semi-final and will be right at it.”
In one last dig at the Gunners, the man who played 202 games for Spurs backed Arsenal not to qualify for the Europa League.
He said: “I think United, Spurs (to finish top four) and Chelsea for the Europa League.”
TBR Verdict
It has to be said that Jenas has dangled the bait to Arsenal fans with these comments.
Given that he is a former Spurs player it will naturally hurt that the Gunners now sit above their rivals in the table.

Emery’s men have trailed Mauricio Pochettino’s side for weeks but some contrasting fortunes have seen Arsenal leapfrog Spurs.
Spurs fans surely won’t be fooled by Jenas’ comments.
The team has looked abject at best in recent weeks and the realisation will have hit home that a real fight is on their hands to claim a top-four finish.
