Arsenal have been busy this summer as they close in on a move for Riccardo Calafiori, but, they still need a striker.
Indeed, there’s been so much chat over the past 18 months about Arsenal needing to sign a new centre-forward as they look for a more reliable source of goals.
Ivan Toney has been linked to Arsenal for a long time now, and speaking on ESPN, Stuart Robson has been discussing the idea of the England international heading to the Emirates.
According to Robson, Toney would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal, and he says that the Gunners should push to get this deal done immediately.
Arsenal told to sign Ivan Toney
Robson spoke about the £40m man.
“I think if he went to somebody like Arsenal where they dominate possession and get crosses into the box he’d be a real threat and a very good threat. I think he can be a big asset for a big club. I would get him now, I would get him now if I was Arsenal,” Robson said.

Why Arsenal don’t want Ivan Toney
Robson thinks that Toney would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal, but the Gunners see things rather differently.
Indeed, Arsenal apparently aren’t sold on Toney’s character.
According to Team News and Ticks, Arsenal have had a meeting about Toney, and they decided after that meeting that they don’t like the striker.
“I said in February a week prior that I thought Toney would be an Arsenal player because they met him, but I found out what happened from that meeting and that they didn’t like him,” He said.
Toney’s technical and physical attributes are brilliant, but if Arsenal don’t think he’d be a good addition to the dressing room then this is a move that may not be worthwhile.
Toney to Arsenal doesn’t appear to be on the cards this summer.
