Arsenal have been linked with Dejan Kulusevski in recent weeks ahead of the January transfer window.

The Gunners are far from the only club reportedly keen on signing the Juventus ace.

However, a report has emerged from Italy claiming Arsenal are frontrunners for his services.

Indeed, La Repubblica claims the Gunners are looking to send a delegation to Italy next week for talks.

The outlet claims Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants Kulusevski and is ready to pay a total of 35m Euro (£30m) for him.

This would be split into an initial 30m Euro fee and 5m Euro bonuses.

However, Juve reportedly want to start bidding at 40m Euro (£34.3million), so this could prove a stumbling block.

In addition, La Repubblica also claims talks would depend on the player’s willingness to join the Gunners.

As well as Arsenal, north London rivals Tottenham are reportedly also eyeing Kulusevski.

Can Arsenal land De Bruyne 2.0 in January transfer window?

Kulusevski has been at Juve since 2020, when he joined from Atalanta in a reported £31.5million deal.

However, he doesn’t seem to be in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans and Juve are reportedly willing to sell him.

Kulusevski is a versatile player who’s apt in central midfield, at No. 10 and on the wing.

The 21-year-old’s key traits include technique, physicality and unselfishness on the pitch.

Kulusevski has the Cristiano Ronaldo seal of approval, the Portugal legend calling him “excellent” in 2020.

And he has even been compared to Kevin De Bruyne, testament to his quality and potential.

Kulusevski would be a great signing for Arsenal but they’re up against tough competition for his services.
