Arsenal are set to make another official bid to Leeds to try and sign their star winger, Raphinha, according to a report from Sky Sports.

The Gunners reached an agreement with Manchester City last night to bring in Gabriel Jesus for £45m. However, Arsenal and Edu are not done there it seems, with the club now ready to push for Jesus’ Brazilian teammate Raphinha next week.

Sky reports how Arsenal are set to return to the table with another offer for Leeds to consider. The Whites are keen to recoup as much money as possible and could ask for around £65m for the winger. And after selling Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City, Leeds are under no pressure to cave in and let the ‘unbelievable‘ Raphinha go for cheap.

Raphinha has emerged as a top target for a number of clubs this summer. Arsenal have been tracking him for a while, with Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham all thought to be keen as well.

Should Arsenal get an agreement in place for Raphinha, it would take their spending over the £100m mark for a second summer running. Mikel Arteta has been backed once again, despite no Champions League football.

TBR’s View: Raphinha Would Complete Arsenal

The idea of Saka, Raphinha and Gabriel Jesus running riot for Arsenal should excite Gunners fans. It would give them one of the best front threes in the league, and gives them real hope of pushing on for those top four spots.

Of course, it’s another expensive deal and a tricky one to do. With other clubs interested, Raphinha might prefer to play Champions League football.

But with Jesus signing and others in the building as well, the Gunners have shown ambition. Raphinha might be impressed with that, and could well agree to be part of the rebuild at The Emirates.
