Brooke Norton-Cuffy has posted on Instagram after the teenage defender put pen to paper on professional terms with Arsenal at the tender age of just 17 – days after thanking Sokratis for helping him behind the scenes.
Norton-Cuffy, 17, has broken into the Arsenal reserve side of late despite his tender age. The England Under-16 international has been at Arsenal since joining the club at the age of nine, and has now warned professional terms.
He was just 16 when making his second-string debut for Arsenal, playing at right-back in a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool. Now, he has penned professional terms though the Gunners website does not make it clear how long for.
He posted on Instagram as his excellent 2020-21 campaign continues to go from strength to strength, now considered a regular in the Under-23 side after five consecutive PL2 appearances. His message is a touching one.
There is plenty of hype surrounding the Arsenal teenager, especially given his rapid rise into Steve Bould’s Under-23 team. His contract is more than deserved, and it comes after posting a message to Sokratis earlier this week.
Sokratis was released by Arsenal and Norton-Cuffy responded by praising the Greek veteran, telling supporters that the former Dortmund defender had helped him behind-the-scenes of late. Now, he will look to emulate him.
