Arsenal gem Bukayo Saka has been named high up in Givemesport‘s list of the 21 top Premier League players under the age of 21.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a stellar breakthrough season for the Gunners in 2019-20, clocking up 39 appearances in all competitions and weighing in with four goals and 11 assists.

He has hit the ground running this term too, with 11 competitive Arsenal appearances this term and four caps for England following his debut in October.

Given Saka’s exploits over the past year, it’s little surprise to see him make the cut for Givemesport‘s list, being ranked at number six.

“Bukayo Saka has for the most part picked up where he left off last season and deserved his first England cap in October,” they wrote.

“That he has started six of Arsenal’s eight league matches speaks volumes about how highly he is regarded by Mikel Arteta.”

Whilst last season was mostly difficult for Arsenal – until right at the end anyway – Saka’s breakthrough was one of the main positives, and he’s certainly going from strength to strength all the way to becoming an England starter.

And it’s not just his talent – his attitude is spot on too, with Mikel Arteta telling the Arsenal media team last month: “The way he’s maturing, the way he’s assimilating everything that’s happened to him in the last few months is remarkable.”

Securing his services on a long-term contract was just one of several coups for the Gunners over the past few months and the future certainly seems bright in the red half of North London.
