Callum Wilson is desperate for teammate Ryan Fraser to snub Arsenal and stay at Bournemouth.
The Scottish winger has been heavily linked with a move to north London this summer, with the 25-year-old’s contract expiring in 2020.
Fraser is hot property after a stunning season on the south coast that saw him score eight goals and table a very impressive 15 assists.
It was his most productive season to date, and The Independent have reported the Gunners will step up their pursuit after the Europa League final.
England striker Wilson though, would prefer to see Fraser – rated at £30 million by Eddie Howe – stick around.
He said, as quoted by The Mirror: “We didn’t actually work on the partnership in training. The manager hasn’t done anything with us. It just sort of forged on the pitch to my delight but I’ll be making sure he doesn’t go anywhere this summer!
“He’s obviously a big supply for me, seven assists for my goals – that’s half of my goals. But he’s not going anywhere. I’ll be making sure I padlock him and put him in a headlock!”
No wonder Wilson wants Fraser to stay put.
The striker owes a lot to his teammate after a brilliant season himself.
He scored 15 times in all competitions and the pair have struck up a dazzling partnership at the Vitality Stadium.
Arsenal arguably have better strikers than Wilson in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, and Fraser could be an absolutely brilliant signing having shown how good his end product his.
