Arsenal are today being linked with a move for RB Leipzig defender, Ibrahima Konate, in a move which could well mean the end for one or two Gunners stars.
Konate, 21, is apparently wanted by a host of clubs, including Arsenal, per a report from the Evening Standard. His signing is likely to set the Gunners back a hefty chunk of change and will follow last summer’s purchase of Gabriel Magalhaes in that position.

Arsenal have already moved a number of players on under the Mikel Arteta era. However, more are expected to leave and one who could be on his way out if Konate joins, is Callum Chambers.
The 2014 signing was a £16m capture from Southampton while Arsene Wenger was still with the club. But things haven’t always gone smoothyl for Chambers, who has once again suffered with injury this year.
And now 25, the time might be right for Chambers and Arsenal to part ways, especially if Konate comes in.
Chambers is quality but needs a run of games and injury free time
It’s a shame really that Arsenal haven’t been able to see the very best of Chambers. He was certainly a bright talent at Southampton and at times he has looked the part in the Red of Arsenal.
However, those aforementioned injuries, plus multiple changes of manager, haven’t helped his cause. He was already down the pecking order before Gabriel arrived, while Rob Holding’s emergence has pushed him further back.
The signing of Konate, then, would surely spell the end for Chambers in North London.
