Reported long-term Arsenal target, Emi Buendia, is in the frame to win the Championship Player of the Season award, after his superb form for Norwich.
Buendia has been on the list of potential signings for the Gunners for months now. However, with Norwich winning promotion, Buendia might well stay put, or, cost a bomb.
The Daily Mail reported just a few days ago that Arsenal will need to pay around £40m if Norwich are to even entertain the idea of a sale.

However, Buendia’s nomination this week for the Championship POTY award may just tempt the Gunners. Buendia has hit a remarkable 14 goals this season and laid on a further 16 assists. It’s the sort of form only few produce at any level.
The Gunners could move for Buendia should deals for other targets fall by the wayside. Martin Odegaard is expected back in Madrid, while Sheffield United are holding out for big money for Sander Berge.
TBR View: If Arsenal can sign Buendia, then they have to do it
He proved last season he was good enough for the Premier League anyway but with another season behind him and form that few can produce, Buendia would be perfect at Arsenal.
The way he plays suits the Gunners as it is. But he is so dynamic in attacking areas, much like Emile Smith Rowe is.
Adding Buendia to the mix alongside Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka is a mouth-watering prospect for the Gunners fans. And at £4om, it’s not even that big a price for someone who offers so much.
