Exciting Arsenal talent Tyreece John-Jules was back in action for Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday, scoring in a 2-1 defeat against Hull City in League One.
The youngster has been missing for several weeks with an injury problem but after being unleashed for the last 26 minutes, he fired his second goal of the season in Darren Moore’s team.
John-Jules, 19 will be keen to make up for lost time at the Keepmoat Stadium and fire plenty of goals between now and the end of the season.
The teenager scored 18 goals in 42 appearances for the Arsenal under-23 ranks and spent some time on loan with Lincoln City last season.
He hasn’t had the best of luck with injuries during his two loan spells away from the Emirates Stadium – and he’ll be desperate to say injury-free now.
Following his goal on Wednesday, he took to Instagram and received some nice words from Arsenal duo Alexandre Lacazette and Bukayo Saka.
The challenge for John-Jules is ultimately to keep on the goal trail and eventually earn himself a shot in the Arsenal team.
Mikel Arteta has proved himself to be a manager who is willing to utilise the club’s academy players and that could bode well.
John-Jules has seen under-23 teammate Folarin Balogun make the step up to first-team football in the Europa League and he’ll be keen to follow suit.
The forward should be capable of scoring plenty of goals for Doncaster – if, of course, he can keep himself fit.
If he does that, he could find himself rubbing shoulders with the likes of Lacazette and Saka at the Emirates Stadium next season.
