Arsenal starlet Tyreece John-Jules turned down the opportunity to join AC Milan last summer, according to Goal.
It is claimed that the Italian giants were in the running for the striker last summer, having been impressed with his performances for the Arsenal youth-team.
The report claims the Rossoneri were ‘pushing particularly hard’ to secure the services of the teenager, who had just one year left on his Arsenal deal.
But the 19-year-old decided to sign a new deal at Arsenal, turning down moves from German clubs in the process.

John-Jules is now expected to have a bright future at Arsenal. The teenager was praised by new Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta shortly after the player’s impressive loan spell at Lincoln City was unfortunately cut short because of an injury. As reported by Football.London, the Spanish boss called John-Jules a ‘powerful’ option and admitted he had been ‘impressed’ with his displays during first-team training with the Gunners.
Of course, competition is fierce in attack at Arsenal. With that in mind, it is likely that Arsenal will loan him out again next season and, according to Goal, that could be a move abroad, an increasingly common practice for Arsenal’s talented young English talent.
Arsenal fans will just be pleased they have secured the services of John-Jules for the foreseeable future. Hopefully, it can result in an eventual first-team spot at The Emirates.
