Arsenal supporters react as Leicester City linked with Kieran Tierney

Leicester City are reportedly considering a move to sign Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney this summer just one season after the left-back moved to north London – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter to the reported news.

Tierney, 22, joined Arsenal from Celtic where he had starred under Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers. The Scotland international won seven trophies under the Leicester boss, before Rodgers swapped Celtic for Leicester.

A few months after Rodgers had left Celtic, Tierney completed a £25million move to Arsenal. However, a number of injuries has prevented Tierney from featuring on a regular basis for The Gunners – playing just 11 times this season.

A dislocated shoulder is currently keeping Tierney on the sidelines, leaving the former Celtic star with little chance of breaking into the senior side – especially with Sead Kolasinac and Bukayo Saka currently impressing ahead of him.

Bleacher Report claim Leicester could look to form a reunion with Tierney, if Ben Chilwell leaves the club to join either Chelsea or Manchester City. Tierney has a contract at Arsenal until the summer of 2024, worth £75,000 a week (BBC).

Arsenal supporters reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club could receive an offer from Leicester and Rodgers for Tierney – and many are desperate to see Mikel Arteta reject such a bid, despite Tierney failing to even play under Arteta.
