Arsenal enjoyed a good enough summer in the transfer market and with the international break here, we’ve taken a look at those signings and grade them on their performances.
The likes of Gabriel Magalhaes arrived from Lille, while Willian was seen as an excellent signing on a free-transfer from PL rivals, Chelsea.
Other names to arrive included goalkeeper Runar Runnarsson,, while Thomas Partey arrived right on deadline day, much to the joy and elation of most Arsenal supporters.

But just how have those summer signings setlled in so far? Nearly a quarter of the way through the season, some are faring better than others, it has to be said.
So, with that, here’s how we have graded Arsenal’s summer signings so far this season.
Willian – C
A frustrating one for Willian and Arsenal fans this, who have seen glimpses of the Brazilian’s quality but not quite often enough as yet.
He started very well at Fulham on the opening day but since then has dipped. Arsenal supporters will be hoping for much more given Willian’s pedigree and winning record in England.
Gabriel – A
Gabriel looks like being a fine signing and looks to have all the attributes of being one of the best defenders in the entire league.
He has struggled in some games but in others, has been immense. His performance at Old Trafford deserved an A alone. More to come from Gabriel, but a fine start.

Thomas Partey – B
On first glance, Partey looks like being a brilliant signing for Arsenal. Strong, dominant, powerful, yet equally good with the ball in midfield, Partey will prove a great player for the Gunners.
Scores a B simply for his amount of games so far but could well be like Gabriel if we revisit this in a few months.
Runar Runarsson – C
Did ok in the game with Dundalk but in fairness, hasn’t had much chance to show off what he can do.
Is still young in goalkeeping terms so we’ll refrain from making judgement so far. But, in the game he did play, he didn’t do anything wrong.

Pablo Mari – E
Oh dear, this has turned into a nightmare for Mari and it’s no fault of his own.
Injured, and yet to play, Mari will hope to get back to fitness soon enough and try and force his way into the reckoning as the season progresses.
Cedric Soares – C
Has only played in the Europa League but has done well enough in thos fixtures to warrant his place in the squad.
Cedric is a solid and steady PL right back and should serve Arteta well this term. He’s certainly done little wrong so far and will prove a crucial part of the European squad it seems.
