It’s been a tough old season in parts for Arsenal in 2019/20, but the emergence of Bukayo Saka rightfully has fans very excited.

The 18-year-old has become a regular in the Gunners’ starting XI in recent months, and is gradually forcing people to take note.

On Sunday against Everton, Saka made his 27th appearance of the season, and his 17th in the Premier League.

The talented teenager is going from strength to strength under Mikel Arteta, and has recently been covering at left-back for the injured Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney.

The Bosnia international picked up a shoulder injury against Everton at the weekend and had to be replaced by Saka.

He now appears set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines given Arteta’s comments, meaning Saka is free to build on his brilliant recent form.

Should he continue to impress like he has been doing, there is no reason why he cannot potentially be acknowledged by the PFA for Young Player category come the end of the season.

That should mean Saka gets to continue at left-back under Arteta, and he has every chance of earning himself a nomination for YPOTY come the end of the season.

Few young player in the Premier League are standing out quite like Saka at this moment in time.

The award will likely be won by Trent Alexander-Arnold ultimately, but Saka can at least cap off a brilliant breakout season by receiving the acknowledgment of the PFA.
