Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus and Tottenham Hotspur‘s Richarlison are both going to Qatar for the World Cup.
Brazil boss Tite announced his squad for the tournament yesterday and there were a few surprises. Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli made the cut after many felt he’ll be snubbed, and he’ll be joined by his two pals from North London – Jesus and Richarlison.

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus says Tottenham’s Richarlison fully deserves Brazil call-up
There were doubts over both Jesus and Richarlison making the cut before Tite named his squad yesterday.
The Arsenal man had a torrid World Cup in Russia four years ago, and the Brazil boss has preferred other players ahead of the 25-year-old in the past. That made many wonder if he’ll get the nod this time.
Richarlison, on the other hand, has been one of Tite’s favourites, but the Tottenham forward has been injured. He hasn’t played a game since the middle of last month, but his call-up suggests he’ll be fine for the World Cup.
It was a proud moment for Richarlison, who shared his immediate reaction to the announcement with a wholesome video on Instagram yesterday. He was absolutely delighted, and Arsenal star Jesus was really happy for him as well.

Brazil really should be considered one of the favourites to win the World Cup in Qatar.
Tite’s side looks really strong, especially in attack. Along with Jesus and Richarlison, the Selecao have the likes of Neymar, Martinelli, Raphinha, Antony, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
Pick any three of the above to start and that makes the Canarinha a really dangerous side. They can tear apart any team on their day, and if things go their way, the World Cup could return to Brazil for the first time in two decades.
Richarlison and Jesus will both be eyeing to start in the same position in Qatar later this month. It will be interesting to see who gets the nod.
