Arsenal star Bukayo Saka stepped off the bench in England’s 2-0 defeat in Belgium and produced another solid showing for the Three Lions, earning praise from Aston Villa and Chelsea stars afterwards.

The 19-year-old was handed his first international opportunity in a competitive fixture and didn’t disappoint after replacing Ben Chilwell in the first half.

Saka has been in fine form the Gunners since Mikel Arteta took over roughly a year ago. Last season, he scored four goals and registered 11 assists, largely featuring as a left-sided wing-back.

After his international outing, Saka took to Instagram and earned praise from two teammates. Villa star Jack Grealish posted first, with Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham also raving about the youngster.

Saka has played 52 times for Arsenal in total and looks like developing into a real star of the future for club and country.

England boss Gareth Southgate has been known to utilise youth and that certainly bodes well for the Arsenal starlet.

As a teenager, there is plenty of time for Saka to continue developing, with Arteta perhaps the ideal coach for his progression.

Saka is a product of the Arsenal academy and he’ll hope to take the confidence built up with England back to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have won four and lost four of their opening eight games – with Arteta recognising there is lots of work to do.

With Saka in form, Arsenal have themselves a real talent on their hands for the future.

If he continues to learn and gets better with each passing game, the 19-year-old has the ability to go all the way to the top.
