Arsenal enjoyed a fine summer transfer window this summer, bringing in a number of new faces to the club to help Mikel Arteta in his quest to regain a top four spot for the Gunners.
Along with the big-money signings of Gabriel and Thomas Partey, the Gunners also managed to tie down Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a new deal, while they also moved a number of players out of the door.

The squad now seems to have more balance to it, with quality across the board in key areas. Coupled with Arteta’s work ethic and distinct game-plan for his team, and it could be a good year for Arsenal.
However, despite spending over £70m on new players, the best signing Arsenal and Arteta might have made is Brazilian midfielder, Willian.
The experienced former Chelsea man made the move across London and is already looking like one of the signings of the summer. And that’s not just for Arsenal, either.
Experience, winner, and quality, Willian is world-class
There’s an argument to be made that Willian was perhaps a little bit under-appreciated in his Chelsea days. Yes, he won trophies and played in big games, but you could never 100% guarantee he’d be in the first XI at all times.
But Chelsea’s loss is Arsenal’s gain. The 32-year-old has made an exceptional start to life at The Emirates. Indeed, it took him just one game on the opening day at Fulham to show what he’s all about.

It’s quite remarkable that the Gunners have managed to land such a player on a free. Yes, the wages will be hefty, but so what if it means getting someone so good for nothing.
Along with his obvious quality, Willian brings the winning mentality all the best teams need. He’s won everything at club level and like David Luiz, can be a shining example for the Gunners.
When Arsenal look back in May, there’s a high chance that they’ll regard Willian as the best signing of the summer.
