Arsenal simply don’t want to sign £19m player this month

Dominic Solanke has been in incredible form over the past couple of months.

The Bournemouth striker has shot up the Premier League scoring charts after an incredible run of form with the Cherries, and, inevitably, he’s now being linked with a move to a bigger club.

Arsenal are said to be keen on the England international, but according to The Mirror’s Ryan Taylor, speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast, there’s not too much to this rumour.

Indeed, according to Taylor, there is absolutely no interest from Arsenal in Solanke at the moment, and this isn’t a deal that will be done.

Solanke not of interest to Arsenal

Taylor shared what he knows about the £19m man.

“On Solanke, I wouldn’t believe everything you read. There’s been a lot of chat about Arsenal and Solanke, but there is no interest from Arsenal at this moment in time. Whenever a player scores goals there will be links in the media, but a lot of these don’t have substance unfortunately,” Taylor said.

Silly season

It’s not that shocking to hear that these Solanke rumours are baseless. After all, this is exactly the type of rumour that is likely to do the rounds at this time of year.

Silly season is well and truly underway, and Arsenal need a striker.

Think about it, if you were going to make up a rumour, this one would be a home-run. An English striker who’s scoring for fun at a smaller club going to Arsenal makes the world of sense right now, but, by the sounds of it, this isn’t one that people within the Emirates are actively considering.

Whether or not Arsenal do ultimately end up going for a striker this month remains to be seen, but it looks as though Solanke won’t be the man for Arsenal this month.

Solanke is probably worthy of a move to a bigger club, but it sounds as though he won’t be going to Arsenal anytime soon.
