Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Idrissa Gueye from Everton.
Sky Sports reported on Tuesday that the Gunners are interested in the tenacious midfielder along with Manchester City.
Gueye has been in the headlines a lot lately, mainly for being the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Apparently the French champions had a bid of £21.5 million turned down, and the Toffees have moved to deny claims that the player handed in a transfer request.
Gueye is clearly a coveted player – his performances in an Everton shirt since his 2016 move from Aston Villa have been impressive.
It would certainly be a big coup for Arsenal if they won the race for Gueye, as he would arguably become the club’s new version of an Invincible.
Gueye the next Gilberto Silva?
Arsenal signing Gueye would potentially hand them their 2019 equivalent of Gilberto Silva.
The Brazilian represented the Gunners from 2002-2008 and was one of the most underrated players of the Invincibles side of 2003/04.

Signed for just £4.5 million, Gilberto was one of Arsene Wenger’s shrewdest acquisitions.
Nicknamed ‘the invisible wall’ back in his native Brazil, the steely midfielder was famed for doing the dirty work and breaking up attacks.
He was a top class defensive shield and rarely ventured forwards for Arsenal.
Although a fair bit taller than Gueye, the similarities between the pair are obvious.

Gueye’s game is almost entirely based on snuffing out fires and turning over possession.
The Senegal international is probably more active and aggressive than Gilberto was, but their jobs were effectively the same
Arsenal would do extremely well to get him considering the reported lack of funds available to Unai Emery, but what a signing it would be.
