Arsenal should take a punt on Bailey as Welbeck’s replacement

Arsenal were recently hit with an injury blow as Danny Welbeck was sidelined for a lengthy period of time.

Although Welbeck is not a regular starter for Arsenal, he is a good option to have on the bench.

Welbeck’s versatility, pace and knack of getting goals makes him a useful third choice striker for Arsenal to have behind Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 27-year-old is also comfortable operating on either wing so his absence will be felt by Arsenal.

Unai Emery will consider making a signing in the January transfer window to replace Welbeck, who is likely to be released at the end of his contract now.

Arsenal need to look at a long-term replacement for Welbeck; someone who has the potential to break into the first-team starting line-up on a regular basis.

The 21-year-old is one of the most exciting prospects in European football at the minute, having entered his third season with Bayer Leverkusen.

With pace and skill, the Jamaican winger is in high demand so Arsenal would need to act quickly to snap him up.

Bailey is far from the finished product but he would be a good investment.

The former Genk winger has the potential to reach the top level one day and Arsenal would be an excellent environment for him to develop his game.
