Arsenal should offload exiled midfielder Mohamed Elneny to Fulham

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny is looking for a way out of the Emirates this January, according to Sky Sports.

The Egyptian international has become an outcast in north London and Arsenal would do well to offload Elneny to Premier League strugglers Fulham.

Elneny has played a grand total of zero minutes in the league this season for the Gunners, with his measly four appearances coming in the Europa League and the League Cup.

Unai Emery appears to have made it clear that the midfielder is not in his first team plans going forward, and Elneny is reportedly eager to gain consistent playing time.

A move across the capital to SW6 would be a welcome switch for the 26-year-old, as Claudio Ranieri’s side are in desperate need of midfield steel.

Fulham’s tendency to leak goals for fun this season has been caused by the lack of quality holding midfielders at Craven Cottage.

Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has struggled to adapt to England and Kevin McDonald has appeared out of depths in the top flight.

Mohamed Elneny brings copious Premier League and Champions League experience to the table, and a move to Fulham would grant him precious first team minutes while bolstering the Whites’ midfield.
