Arsenal fans react as Who Scored include Shkodran Mustafi in Team of 2020

Shkodran Mustafi has been selected in the Who Scored Premier League Team of the Year for 2020 and Arsenal fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter.

The German defender has enjoyed a renaissance of form since the turn of the year helping the Gunners to five games without defeat.

He has occasionally found himself out of the team but Arsenal have failed to lose in 2020 with the World Cup-winning enforcer in the starting eleven.

The £90,000-a-week player has had his critics in the past and his form during last season was erratic.

Interestingly, prior to the Premier League being suspended Mustafi was dropped to the bench to make way for new signing Pablo Mari.

Mustafi’s future during the summer might be discussed again but it would seem Mikel Arteta fancies him as someone who can help his team.

Who Scored gave the centre-back a rating of 7.50 for his performances in 2020, higher than Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk who only scored 7.48.

It makes for remarkable reading on the face of things and the team being revealed has got supporters talking.
