Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is the subject of big-money interest from French champions PSG, according to Football.London.
But they also report that Unai Emery has underlined the midfielder’s importance to his plans already, despite the fact he is still a teenager and only moved to the north London club last summer.
It’s understandable that Emery reportedly wants to keep hold of such a promising young talent, even if he would raise £60m in the summer.
But Emery must also be aware of his financial constraints in the summer. The Daily Mail report that the Spaniard only has £45m to spend in the forthcoming window and that is simply not enough to make the improvements Arsenal need.

Arsenal need to reshape their backline, with weaknesses at both full-back and centre-back; central midfield is still an issue – they are losing Aaron Ramsey for nothing – and they lack a genuine winger aside from Alex Iwobi.
£45m isn’t enough money to get the right quality in all of these positions to create a squad to take Arsenal back in the right direction.
£105m would be Emery’s budget if Guendouzi brought in his reported £60m valuation, just a season after he joined for a reported (Goal) £7m.
That’s a healthy return on a player who is not a guaranteed starter and selling Guendouzi would help Emery get the targets he needs, it’s something he should consider.
