Arsenal are set to take on Chelsea next Wednesday in the Europa League final in Baku. A win would see the Gunners make a return to the Champions League.
Following the final attention will turn towards the summer and more importantly the transfer window. If Unai Emery is to improve on this season’s fifth-place finish he will need to add some players to his squad.
The Independent are reporting that a £30 million bid will be lodged for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser following the showpiece final. The 25-year-old has netted eight goals and registered 15 assists for the Cherries this season.
A Scotland international, Fraser has caught the eye of several clubs. It would seem that Arsenal are in pole position to make the first move for the versatile winger, however.
Following speculation over the trickster’s potential arrival at the Emirates Stadium, lots of Gunners supporters have started to have their say. The reactions are somewhat mixed. Some hope the deal gets over the line, whilst others would rather other targets were pursued.
We rounded up the best tweets in response to the news that Fraser could be on his way to Arsenal:
I do find the snobbery over Ryan Fraser entirely bizarre. Created more goal scoring chances than any other player in the PL (by a distance). 28, ten more than next best, Hazard with 18. And that for a mid table team.
If his name was Mesut Fraser it would be different perhaps.

Arsenal are probably one of the most brain dead teams on the planet… Ziyech is available for £25M and is a boyhood Arsenal fan yet it is Ryan Fraser who you are chasing… Incredible

Honestly can’t believe some of you think Ryan Fraser would be a good signing for Arsenal. Please don’t ever talk to me about football again if that’s the case

I honestly don’t get why some Arsenal fans are turning their nose up at Ryan Fraser, statistically one of the best wingers in the PL last season by a mile.

Arsenal at an advanced stage with Ryan Fraser according to reports.. I think it’s really clever business! A no nonsense winger that will work his socks off. Get it done Arsenal

Two things about Ryan Fraser that appeals to me. 1. He looks like the sort of player who’ll bust a gut and run through brick walls for you. 2. He really reminds of Brian Marwood who in his short time at the Club was brilliant.

Some Arsenal fans don’t want Ryan Fraser.
He’s twice the player Iwobi is and I’m sure if he was Brazilian and was called Frasinho he’d be worth £50m

Get Ryan Fraser for 25 million and promote Nelson into the first team and we're automatically better, sell Mkhitaryan, keep Iwobi as a squad player, sell Mr Missing and sign Maddison, Maddison in my opinion 45 million, 70 million that is on 2 top class players.

Ryan Fraser for below 20mil could be the best bit of shrewd business this summer. 14 assists last season in the Premier League can't go unnoticed. Absolute steal for that price. @Arsenal

I hope we are landing Ryan Fraser🙏

We're in the depressing scenario where, if Arsenal don't win the Europa League, it will be a decision over whether to sign Ryan Fraser or Samuel Umtiti, and could still end up with neither

Ryan Fraser would be a great signing

Given how heavily we’ve relied on Kolasinac’s crossing on the left this season, I’m not surprised we’re looking for a similar outlet.
If we’re going to be in the CL, I’m not sure he’s the right option to be spending our limited budget on.
I’d rather play Nelson.

Arsenal need a winger that is creative above anything else, not just assists…Ryan Fraser is not creative..I think we have enough players to assist…we should go into Europe and get a creative winger

Think Ryan Fraser would be a very good addition to the squad. Offers something we lack a bit, crosses and an alternative to Özil for breaking teams down #Arsenal
