Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard ahead of the summer window, and Gunners supporters will be desperate for their club to land the Frenchman given that Thierry Henry has admitted he is a big fan.
The Daily Mirror claims Arsenal face competition from former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who wants to bring Edouard to Leicester City. Everton, who have been previously linked, are also mentioned as keen. Edouard is rated at £30million.
It comes as no surprise when looking at Edouard’s stunning stats. Still only 22, Edouard has neted 27 goals in 42 games for Celtic this season – and, perhaps just as impressive, has also laid on 19 assists for his teammates.
Arsenal could be after a striker in the near future with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future in doubt, and Edouard could be the man if Henry is to be believed. Ally McCoist told TalkSPORT – as per the Record – that Henry was a big fan of Edouard.
“I spoke to Thierry Henry at the Liverpool vs Leicester City game and he really rates Edouard,” McCoist said in January. “He was saying in France in particular (Edouard is admired) and he personally thinks he’s got a chance of going right to the top.”

TBR’s view – Untried at Premier League level, but Edouard is a gem
Edouard has scored a hatful in the lesser Scottish Premiership, but the Frenchman has also netted five goals in 11 Europa League outings this season – as well as creating four more goals in those games.
For the aforementioned price, Arsenal would be getting a striker that is just 22 years of age, and would be replacing the likes of Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette. Henry is bang on, and Arsenal must move.
