Arsenal are not interested in signing Thomas Lemar from Atletico Madrid this month, according to a report by Goal.
They report that the Gunners want one or two players on loan during the transfer window and the 24-year-old is not on their radar.
The report says Arsenal remain content with their attacking options and will only change their plans if an exceptional talent comes on the market – and they don’t view Lemar as that man.
But the Independent report that Tottenham to take the Frenchman on an initial loan deal with an option to buy, but it does not appear that a transfer tussle will break out in north London.

TBR’s View – Pepe seems to have taken the role Lemar would have had
At the peak of Arsenal’s interest in Lemar, he would have been an exciting, high-profile wide option. But Nicolas Pepe came in to take that mantle during the summer and is starting to show some form.
The need for Lemar is no longer so great, as much as some fans may like the idea of taking him away from Tottenham’s clutches and adding yet more pace and firepower to their frontline.
