Arsenal reportedly keen on £4m teen talent Kaan Kurt despite lack of first-team action

The Borussia Monchengladbach defender is yet to play a senior game for his club.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on a move for talented German-Turkish youngster Kaan Kurt.

It is reported by The Sun that the Gunners, as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea, are interested in a move for the player who would be available for a fee in the region of £4 million.

The 18-year-old is currently contracted to Borussia Monchengladbach but has yet to make a senior appearance for the club. Instead, he has been featuring for the club’s second team, playing in German football’s fourth tier.

The right-back, who can also play at left-back, has played 25 times for Gladbach’s second-string and is a youth international for the Germany under-19 side whilst also featuring for Turkey at under-17 level.

It would certainly not be the big move that Arsenal fans are looking for but it seems that the club are set to bring in young affordable talents this summer amid the current global health crisis.

With the Gunners wanting to reinforce at full-back, Kurt could be a top option for the future at Arsenal and one who could eventually play a key role in supporting Hector Bellerin at right-back.

Of course, convincing the German side to sell might not be simple, considering the fact the teenager is contracted until 2022 in North Rhine-Westphalia. But it seems that Kurt is a name Arsenal fans need to keep an eye on this summer.
