Arsenal have reportedly made the first move to try and bring James Maddison to the Emirates Stadium.
According to football.london, the Gunners have proposed a player-plus-cash deal for the Leicester and England ace.
As well as Arsenal, another London club is said to have made an offer for Maddison.
And the 24-year-old – reportedly worth £60million – is believed to be Mikel Arteta’s top target this summer.
Arsenal fans should be absolutely ecstatic over these reports as Maddison would be a marquee signing for the north Londoners.

Arsenal target Maddison – the story so far
Maddison has enjoyed a swift upward trajectory to the top of the English game in recent years.
He came through the ranks at Coventry before joining Norwich for a reported £2.4million in 2016.
Two-and-a-half years later, Maddison was on the move again, joining Leicester for a reported £22.5million in 2018.
Maddison has since made 118 appearances for the Foxes, claiming 27 goals and 20 assists for the club.
His efforts have helped Leicester win the FA Cup and become an established top-six team.
The midfielder has also won one cap for England and was unlucky not to make the Euro 2020 squad.

“Quick and strong, Maddison is able to keep up with the pace of the big league and out-muscle opponents when required.
“Secondly, the midfielder has fantastic technical ability.
