One of Arsenal’s big issues at present is the future of breakout star Bukayo Saka. The winger converted into a top left-back, has been in fine form for the Gunners this season.

However, he is out of contract in 2021 and that has plenty of big teams circling. The likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, and Liverpool have all been mentioned as having a keen interest in the Arsenal starlet.

But a report from Goal suggests that Arsenal are not worried about losing the teenager.

Quite the opposite actually. The report suggests that Arsenal are ‘calm’ about his future and believe he will sign on the dotted line of a new long-term contract in the weeks to come.

Back in March, it was reported by The Sun that Arsenal were ready to offer Saka a new deal worth £35,000-a-week, a major increase on what they reported is his current £3,000-a-week salary.

That current wage has been disputed with numerous sources giving different figures.

However, it is clear that plenty of teams are ready to raid Arsenal at the first sign that a contract cannot be reached between Saka and the club.

Mikel Arteta admitted to the official club website in March that Arsenal were doing ‘what it has to do’ with regards to securing a new deal for Saka and was hopeful of a swift resolution.

“The club is doing what it has to do and is having conversations, [and hopefully] we’ll get it resolved.”

Then the Premier League was suspended because of the global health crisis, galvanising rival clubs and gossip columns to suggest a move away from Arsenal might be the best idea for the 18-year-old.

But this latest update suggests the Gunners are confident of securing the services of this teenage sensation.
