Arsenal have set their sights on AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with designs on a summer swoop, according to Italian outlet TMW.
They report that Unai Emery has turned his attention to the colossal 6ft 5in starlet amid concerns that £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) goalkeeper Bernd Leno is not up to the task between the sticks.
The report also says that the Italian giants will demand a fee close to the 70 million euros (£61.7m) Liverpool paid Roma to land Alisson last summer.
That would likely be a huge ask for Arsenal, but the report makes reference to Milan’s need to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, which could create room for negotiation.

Unai Emery didn’t get a particularly large amount of time or money with which to reshape the Arsenal squad last summer, but he did make signings in the three areas the squad needed it most – goalkeeper, central defender and holding midfielder.
Leno had a shaky start before growing into the role. If he carries on in that vein, it would be surprising if Emery spent big on an upgrade, but the example of Alisson does show the importance of spending big to get the quality required in important roles.
Donnarumma is sure to be a star of the future and would be a genuinely exciting signing for the Gunners, even if the supporters would perhaps be concerned about so much pressure being on young shoulders.
