Arsenal ready to sell midfielder and West Ham have got to be interested – TBR View

West Ham have enjoyed a very solid start to the Premier League campaign under David Moyes, and with a couple of signings they could even challenge for Europe – and a reportedly available Arsenal player should tempt them.

The Hammers sit in a very comfortable tenth place and are only four points behind Jose Mourinho’s fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. Moyes has created an identity at the London Stadium, with Michail Antonio key.

The striker is pivotal to the way the Hammers play, while Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Angelo Ogbonna have all been sensational under the former Everton, Manchester United and Real Sociedad manager.

But West Ham could do with a couple of signings. Arthur Masuaku is close to a return so a left-back is not such a necessity anymore. But cover for Antonio up front and another body in midfield should be considered.

London rivals Arsenal could help with that latter issue. The Independent claim Arsenal are looking to offload eight players to raise funds for incoming signings and among those is Egyptian midfielder Mo Elneny.

The 28-year-old has returned from a loan at Besiktas to impress for Arsenal this season, proving to be an important member of the side despite the presence of Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos and Joe Willock.

But now Arsenal are keen to sell. A return to Besiktas is a possibility with Aksam claiming Besiktas are ready to spend £6.25million to get him, but West Ham have got to take advantage and lure Elneny across London.

Reports from Elneny’s home country in 2019 – as per Ahly News – claimed West Ham wanted Elneny. With the player now available following and West Ham in need of a midfielder, that interest has to be reignited.
