Arsenal have confirmed on their official website that Lucas Torreira has not travelled with the rest of the squad ahead of their clash with Olympiakos on Thursday, but has not been ruled out of featuring in the tie either.
Mikel Arteta’s men will meet the Greek side in the first-leg of their Europa League last 32 tie on Thursday.

It could be a good opportunity for some of the players slightly closer to the fringes of the squad to catch the eye. And Torreira may have previously been setting his sights on being involved.
The midfielder has not started any of Arsenal’s last three games. But he did come off the bench against Burnley and Newcastle.

However, Arsenal have confirmed on their official website that Torreira is suffering with illness and thus, has not travelled with the rest of the squad on Wednesday.
But it appears that Arteta is not shutting the door on the possibility of the Uruguayan playing.
The club have also confirmed that he could still join up with the squad before Thursday’s game should his situation improve significantly.
TBR View – Arteta doesn’t need to take risk with Torreira
Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Newcastle showed that Arteta does not need to take a risk with Torreira. Granit Xhaka has been incredibly impressive under the new boss.
Meanwhile, Dani Ceballos has threatened to silence a lot of his critics. He was superb against the Magpies, and was lauded by the supporters.
It would arguably be a big boost for Arsenal if Torreira makes a quick recovery. But the Gunners look to have the situation covered if he is not back to full strength.
